Yay Keira! Yay Rachel!

Cat was talking about being dumb when it comes to cars, and I'll wager that a lot of people have problems with under-the-hood type things, but I think Laura and I win. Over the break, she was driving and I was in the passenger seat, and we hear a thump. Laura goes, dude, how's the tires on that side? I check out the sideview mirror and I'm like, dude, the back tire is totally flat. OMG, we should go back and get Mom's van. And lo, we do so. And we tell our Dad when he gets home, and he goes out to look, and he's like...the tires are fine. Nothing's flat. And I'm like, we probably drove over a pothole, and, like, when you drive? The tire gets a little bit squished? Yeah.

Good times.

(People, I had so many pictures on my old computer, like my carefully catalogued collection of Spuffy screencaps, arranged by season. ZOMG DORK.)

So, the apartment is almost cleaned (it's been rough), and I finally transferred all of my assorted media from my old computer to my external hard drive (a process that required me burning everything onto CD, but I now have all my old music, yay!). It was kind of astonishing, the amount of stuff I had accumulated over four years. Some of it was way random and I didn't bother bringing it over, some of the songs were novelty songs that I was embarrassed in retrospect to have downloaded at all in the first place, but a lot of stuff I was very happy to have access to again.

And, there was stuff that I had forgotten about, and did a little bit of the old clappy-hands when I saw it. I thought it might be fun to put some of this stuff up. So here is the Angel opening credits set to the Friends theme song.

(Maja, it's totally a real video. I know. And the scary thing? It's a couple years old, and it was totally on my old computer. I must have downloaded it from someplace and never watched it. CREEPY.)

OH MY GOD.

I can't believe this is real. I can't believe someone thought this, that someone pitched this, that it was made, that it exists.

It's marvelous. Aha.

I am back in Austin. I'm forcing myself to clean the apartment before I do any extracurricular internet activities, so this is just a brief hello; I found myself really, really not wanting to deal with a dial-up connection over the break, and that on top of six people wanting to play new computer games. Also, I don't know if I live in a slightly too-rural place or if it's just bad luck that I'm caught between two cell phone towers, but I had absolutely no connection or whatever to be able to use my phone, so that was fun, too.

So, yes, am still alive, and will hopefully get back in the swing of things pretty soon.
