20. Mr. Blue Sky - Electric Light Orchestra
21. Bordello Kind of Guy - Gogol Bordello
22. Grande Polonaise Brillante in E-flat Major - Frederic Chopin
23. Roslin and Adama - Bear McCreary
24. Charlotte Mittnacht - DeVotchKa
25. A Promise to Return - Bear McCreary

Numbers one through five are unchanged from last year, which is less about how much I've listened to them this year, and more about how much I listened to them a year ago. The fact that a song from this year's Star Trek soundtrack has already made it to number 15 is kind of terrifying, and shows that I probably listened to that, like, twenty times a day that first week. I rarely listen to a song on repeat over and over again (the last one I can remember doing that with was "Dark Eyes," which is number five), so.

A couple weeks ago, Sarah bought a mess of dresses at JC Penney that had been significantly reduced in price because of cascading clearances. That, plus Laura's employee discount, allowed Sarah to make quite the haul. Check it out:

Original Price: $50.00
We Paid: $6.38

Original Price: $70.00
We Paid: $9.58

Original Price: $70.00
We Paid: $9.58

Original Price: $90.00
We Paid: $4.31

Original Price: $200.00
We Paid: $4.46
(Sarah was unsure about this dress. We told her that when you can buy a two hundred dollar dress for less than five bucks, you grab that dress by the points and you don't let go.)

I also bought a pair of jeans; original price: $54.00, we paid: $6.38.

Original Price, In Total: $534.00
We Paid, In Total: $44.01
Total Savings: $408.70

We had kind of an odd Fourth. Most years, even though everyone but Sarah is grown up, we still buy some fireworks, and for the last five years or so, we've always bought booze. We did neither leading up to the Fourth, and didn't have any plans for a big meal, either. Then Saturday morning, my grandpa takes us to the store and we buy a big spiral-cut ham, and then at like, 7pm, my dad buys a bag of fireworks, like he just CAN'T STAND IT. We still didn't have any booze, though.

Check out the amazing cake Laura and I made, though:
