So I finally, officially start work on the 16th.  Today I turned in my time sheet and formally resigned as a substitute (in that I went, "Um, I won't be subbing anymore, JSYK.") - and that felt really good, let me tell you.  I'm going to try in lots of writing in the next week, because soon I will be working the good ol' 9-5 and won't be able to just chill at Starbucks every afternoon.

The weather has been positively scrumptious round these parts; today it got up to 77!  On November 9th!  So I went over to Gamps today, and mulched some leaves, and then we just sat outside in the sun, and it was v. nice.

No lie, I would say that "Maybe I did, maybe I didn't" is in my top five of all-time things on the internet I've laughed the hardest at. It was two or three days later and I would randomly remember it as I was in the shower or eating or driving and I'd laugh so hard I'd see spots.

This web comic may be the greatest thing I've ever seen. I'm going to find a way to make it my new desktop, whatever it takes.

Went and saw Zodiac today, which was AMAZING. Like, I seriously, seriously loved it a lot. It was two and a half hours long, and I was literally leaning forward and sitting on the edge of my seat (for reals, not for metaphors) for most of it. Also, Jake Gyllenhaal was supremely beautiful and I'm very happy that we will someday wed.

I found this website that translates things in and out of different languages and spits out the final English translation; like what we used to do with Babelfish, only a hundred times more ridiculous. I've been laughing at this all night. Here is the translation of that first paragraph of this post:

Laura has links posted to "modules" from a show called Look Around You. I can't recommend them enough. I laughed so hard I honest to God got lightheaded. And have spent the rest of the night saying, "What ARE birds?" and "How tall is Imhotep?" Which, after you go watch these, you will completely understand, and laugh at. Exceedingly.
