It be hard to believe I forgot today were Talk Like a Pirate Day. 'Tis a prodigious shame, it is, that I ain't been annoying all me family, but perhaps all things considered, 'twere for the best.
Anyways, we went running with my Grandpa today, and paperbacks are 8 for a dollar at the Salvation Army. Score! I even picked up a couple I haven't read before, which is not my usual book-buying practice. Laura got a great, really tall and narrow mirror, with fancy curly-cue detailing, for $2.50. There was a mini-apothecary end table for $35, and I'm hoping it will still be there next week when I get my paycheck. All it needs is a strip and refinish, which I can probably get my dad to do, as he likes projects; it's small enough I shouldn't have any trouble finding a place for it.
